Fermentors
GRYF bioSTAR 1 - a small laboratory fermentor is a new product where many years of experience are evaluated. His proposal came from the practical realization and production of similar single-purpose devices.
Reliability
The bioSTAR biological fermentor is designed for scientific and research purposes, for small volume cultivation. Its construction is based on experience with the construction of similar single-purpose devices. It uses time-proven materials and procedures supplemented with new modern features, especially software for control, recording and processing of measured data, which is an extended version of the XBC measurement system. Fermentor is a modular system.
All the elements used for the production were selected with great care and effort to ensure maximum reliability, long service life and ease of using. All the constituents used, their functions, incl. the function of the complete equipment is subject to strict control.
Clarity
Engaging the BioSTAR Magic Fermentor is simple and clear. All passes to the fermenter are in the cover, the connecting cables are connected to the fermentor panel the shortest way and do not prevent the user from operating. Whenever a fermentation vessel can be pulled out without having to remove accessories. Dosing pumps are part of control panels (without external connecting cables). The connection of the pumps with the fermentation vessel and the reagent containers is made with silicone sterilizable and autoclavable tubing. Connecting a computer with a fermentor panel is done with one signal cable (RS485 + USB).
Widely use
Like most GRYF products, the bioSTAR fermenter is a modular system.Is possible:
- arbitrarily change the number of combined passes for others incl. changes in diameters
- add additional dosing pumps, combine their performance (volume / time, dose size)
- measure other electrochemical or physical quantities, incl. composition of the outputs gases
- to change aeration elements and elements ensuring the homogenisation (mixing)
- change from homogeneous rotation system to linear with adjustable stroke, change stirrer mixer behind the actuator (gentle homogenization)
- level measurement of the fermentor by a capacitive sensor positioned outside the vessel
The fermenter can be used for batch mode or continuous cultivation.
GRYF's experience with the development of special single-purpose devices opens up new possibilities for increasing the utility value of a fermentor at a high technical level.
Operator comfort
All processes can be controlled directly from the PC either in automatic or manual mode.
The fermentation process can be monitored outside the workplace within the local computer network or the Internet. Based on the requirements, the existing system can be supplemented by additional hardware and software upgrades. Some functions, such as venting and pumping liquid into the dosing pump, can be done manually in a pre-set mode.
